Windows 10: Trying to connect my Cricut Joy to bluetooth on my Laptop running Windows 11. It connects...

I have tried everything I can think of to fix this issue. I uninstalled, reinstalled, unplugged, re-plugged. restarted and shut down. It all ends up the same. I can discover the device, I can connect but then it immediately disconnects. After that, it is no longer discoverable. The device shows in my list of devices but shows as not connected. I already check that my BIOS and udate are fine. Also de drivers. Please help.

Attaching a Cricut Air 2 via Bluetooth


My wife got a new Cricut Air 2 craft cutting machine. It can connect via Bluetooth.
I tried connecting via the Bluetooth procedure in the Settings/Devices/Bluetooth and it would not connect. The Bluetooth PIN is 0000 but it was not recognizing it.

However, I was able to get it connected by going to the Control Panel Add a device. It found the Cricut and took the 0000 PIN number and installed the device.

Have you already connected your Cricut Explore Air 2 from your PC previously?

For you to be able to switch, you will need to pair the other device first and go to your bluetooth and other devices settings on your PC to toggle between the two and you can go over the link below for a guide from Cricut.

Win 11 to Android Bluetooth Connectivity

I have an MS SP8 running Win11 23H2 - all updates up to date. I'm trying to use Bluetooth to connect to my Samsung Galaxy S21+ running Android v 14. Both devices pair with each other and show each other in their respective Bluetooth device lists. When the laptop is first started, it shows "connected" for the status with the phone. But after about 1 minute it shows "not connected". If I try to connect the phone to the laptop, it shows "couldn't connect" after a minute of trying.

So here's the weird part, if I run programs on the laptop and phone to transfer data (CompanionLink for Windows and Android), it works fine. Windows Phone Link works fine. But both devices say they're not connected and won't connect. Occasionally, these programs stop working, saying they can't connect. If I restart both of them, they start working again. But they both still say they're not connected.

I've tried unpairing, re-pairing, restarting, updating drivers, all to no joy. I would normally let well enough alone but I've used Windows and Android enough to not trust a seeming contradiction. I'd like to fix this before it becomes a serious problem. It only seems to have started sometime in the last month or so.

Any suggestions?
