    so im trying to convert my c drive into gpt and im following the tutorials such as putting in command prompt mbr2gpt /validate /disk:2 /allowFullOS disk 2 is my windows drivethe validation works fine but when i put the next step mbr2gpt /convert /disk:2 /allowFullOS it does it for a bit then gives the error cannot create EFI system partition error 0x000036B7ive tried shrinking the drive 200mb and still got the same error it is a 2tb nvme ssd and i do not want to reinstall windows to get it to work how can i get it to work thank you

    Issue Converting SSD from MBR to GPT

    Hi everyone, and hope you are all having a good day.

    I have a Dell Laptop which I recently installed a Kingston SSD into. I've been trying to change the drive from MBR to GPT for a few days now, and nothing seems to be working. I've tried running the command multiple times with administrator permissions "mbr2gpt /convert /allowfullOS", and this is what it always spits out:

    MBR2GPT: Attempting to convert disk 0

    MBR2GPT: Retrieving layout of disk

    MBR2GPT: Validating layout, disk sector size is: 512 bytes

    MBR2GPT: Trying to shrink the OS partition

    MBR2GPT: Creating the EFI system partition

    Cannot create EFI system partition. Error: 0x000036B7

    MBR2GPT-undo: Extending back the OS partition

    MBR2GPT: Conversion failed

    Nothing seems to work. All other third-party programs I've seen people use (like EaseUS) won't let me use their tools without paying for a license. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Convert only one partition on the disk from MBR to GPT

    I need after a crash ,to reinstall Windows 10 using Micosofts "installation media" but get the following response:

    “Windows can not be installed on this drive. The selected disk has an MBR partition table.

    On EFI systems, windows can only be installed on GPT disks”.

    Does anyone know how and whether it is possible to convert only one partition (of 4) on the disk from MBR to GPT
