Windows 10: Trying to copy a Language CD-ROM

Hello there. I am learning to speak Russian and have a self learn language course from the local library. I want to copy the CDs so I can play them in the car as I drive don't want to risk damaging the library CDs. I've tried copying the CDs and then burning them to a CD using Windows Media player. But Media Payer classifies the CD content as a Playlist, and not music or data. So I find I cannot burn the content to a CD. It just doesn't seem to recognise the content. Here's the error message "Windows Media Player cannot find the file. If you are trying to play, burn, or sync an item that is in your library, the item might point to a file that has been moved, renamed, or deleted." Any ideas on how to deal with this please? Or are these files somehow protected from copying? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

There are numerous reasons for your CD ROM not to be recognized by your system like corrupted registry entries, outdated drivers, or hardware issue. To isolate such issue, we'd like to ask a few questions:

• Which build and version of Windows 10 is currently installed on your computer? To check, click the
  Start > Settings > System >
  About.

• Are you getting any error messages?
• Were there any changes made on your computer settings prior to this issue?

CD Rom

If you have a desktop computer try the following step:

Shutdown the PC.

Unplug the data cable (ATA or SATA) and the power source (4 Pin Molex or SATA Power)

After boot the Windows 10 without CD Rom.

Shutdown the PC and connect the CD Rom.

Boot the OS.

DVD/CD Drive Saying CD-Rom

My Dvd drive is listed in my device manager however it is set as cd rom in the description, it also wont open and is not set as my default drive, any suggestions?

windows 10 if that changes anything
