Windows 10: Trying to download a game and App Store opens then closes?

I’m trying to download EPIC/Sims 4 on my computer. The game downloads from the browser, but when I go to open the file it opens the App Store, then immediately closes it out. Running on 11.

I suggest that you reset the Windows store, follow the steps below.

Reset the Windows Store

You can use the steps below to refresh the Store which will clear the cache and refresh your library and permissions.

• Close the Windows Store app if you have it open.
• Click Start and type wsreset.
• Right-Click on the command and click Run as Administrator. If the Windows permission box appears, click Yes or Run.
• A black MS DOS screen will appear for a few seconds. Wait for it to disappear and the Store will automatically open.
• Attempt to install Sea of Thieves

Windows 10 Apps from the store wont download

• Do you face this issue only with these apps?
• Did you try downloading other apps?
• Did you try stopping these apps and then downloading it again?

We would suggest you to try the steps mentioned in the link

• Type troubleshooting in the search
  box and hit Enter.
• Click View all from the left pane and select Windows store apps.
• Follow the on-screen instructions and check.

If the steps don't work try these steps:

Try to reset the Windows store and check.

• Press Win + R on the keyboard to open run Window.
• Type wsreset.exe to reset the Windows store cache.

Downloaded Messenger app from store. When I open the app it automatically get closed.

2. Did you get any error message when it automatically get closed?

Now try to open the app and check if it works. If the issue still persists, I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the app and try to access it.

1. Press the Windows button on your device or keyboard, or select the Windows icon in the lower-left corner of the

main screen.

2. Select All apps, and then find your app in the list.

3. Press and hold the app tile and then select Uninstall. Alternatively, you can right-click the app tile and then select

4. Follow the steps to uninstall the app.

5. To reinstall your app, open the Store app and then select the profile button.

6. Select My Library.

7. Locate your app in the list of available downloads and then select the download icon to the right.
