Windows 10: Trying to fix a laptop for a lady for free.

Split from this thread. this laptop was crashed when i got it. no power adapter the lady had thrown it out she couldnt remember what it was fore. she just gave it to me. she gave me a bag with the manual and 5 dvd the were numbered 1-5 they were marked as backup disks so i followed the instructions and when i rebooted after a "succesful Install" I got a dos screen telling me to choose or insert a boot drive. not exactly those words but im sure you get the idea. i could get into the BIOS but that was no help because the disks had changed the drive letters. So my primary C drive was now D My

  Recently my laptop stopped charging when the battery meter reach 74% (before it was 94% then it become 84% next is 81% and finally 74%), can anyone tell me how to fix it. i try different solution in internet such as STEP 1: device manager STEP 2: Battery STEP
  3: Uninstall 2nd option in battery STEP 4: Scan for hardware changes and so on BUT it also didn't fix the battery issues in my laptop.
