Trying to get my security code to resign onto account only have a land line can't receive texts

can't get in to change the number because I can't get a security code

MS keeps trying to send a text to a land line. I can't get in to my security to change the phone number because they keep texting the code to a land line.

 

How do I access "Security"? MS seems only to be able to provide a security code via cell phone. I need to be contacted via land line.

Under Microsoft's article "Microsoft account security info & verification codes", Yes, you can receive codes on a phone that doesn't use text messaging. When you add the phone number as security info, under Verify phone via choosing the Call option. You'll
get automated phone calls that read the verification code to you instead of text.

To add security info, follow these steps

1. On the Security basics page, select the Update info button. If you're not already signed in to your Microsoft account, you'll be prompted to sign in.

2. Select Add security info then follow the instructions to enter a new email or phone number.

3. We'll send a verification code to that new email or phone number.

4. Enter that verification code, and select Next. Your new security info will appear in your list.

Not receiving text from Microsoft with code

Can you confirm if the phone number you are trying to receive the code in is the same as the one listed in the account security section?
