    Trying to install Microsoft Money 98.


    I'm using Windows 11 Home,, and trying to install the Microsoft Money 98 - Getting an error saying 'Microsoft Money 98 Standarad OEM Edition setup was not completed successfully.Steps tried:Used the original DVDDownloaded the setup from online.Modified the system registry.Tried running the program in the compatibility mode.

    microsoft money 98 on Windows 10

    I have been using my MS Money 98 on my Windows 10 for over a year with no problems. In the past two weeks the Money program functions for a few transactions and then it will stop working. At that point, I am unable to get anything to happen. It is at
    this point I will attempt to close out the program and shortly after that, I get a note saying the program is not running. Several times I have tried the option of waiting a while as suggested in the flag. But nothing happens. I am able to close the program
    by clicking on the flagged notice. So far, I have not had any loss of data. However, I have not been able to use a memory stick to down load the data. If I try going to FILE to ask for backup but that cause the program to go to the, "not working" mode.

    My questions:

    1. How do I back up my current data information?

    2. After that, I would like to know what you suggest to refreshing my ancient program. I do have the original MS Money 98 CD program.

    3. I would be open for a suggestion of what program I might go to that would be compatible to my hopefully, saved data.

    Microsoft Money for Windows 10

    Look at my response posted on 11/22/17. I was able to install Money 98 in windows 10. If you follow the same steps, it may work for Money 99, as well
