    I bought Windows 10 Home from Amazon, I plugged the USB into my recently built PC Mother Board: B550 Phantom Gaming 4 P1.10, Processor Type: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, Microcode Update: A20F10/A201003, SSD: WD Blue 3D Nand SATA SSD


    I plugged the USB into the PC and got to the following screen.

    I pressed enter and it took me to a screen with the blue logo and no indication of loading, which lasted for hours.


    I have tried putting the data on a different USB, I have tried checking the connections on my PC. I pressed F11 to get to the menus to make sure it was booting from the USB.


    I am at a loss for what to do next, I'd really appreciate any help.

    Installation Hangs at Blue Windows Logo, Error Code C1900101-20017


    The BIOS update suggestion posted above by @Jegler helped me, @guhanath. I was on version 1.10 and updated to 1.90. The steps I took after that were just doing the official Windows 10 upgrade procedure.

    Then the Windows 10 installation went without a hitch, and I'm no longer on Windows 7. I'm going to consider this solved, thank you @Jelger for the suggestion to update the BIOS!

    Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

    I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
