Trying to log into my hotmail account -- gives a message Too Many requests. this is using CHROME. This is the initial login. Why? When I try to reset password, it says it is not a microsoft account.I then will go incognito -- gives the same error. When I try to reset my password, it askes what the last 4 digits of my phone is, I enter it, it then gives message Try another verification method. That verification method isn't working right now. Pleas try another method.

I only respond to TPU msgs in my hotmail account so that wasn't the case. I honestly had to change the password before I could log into my account.

NEVERMIND: For some odd reason the field to change password every 72 days was checked.

 

Deleting hotmail accounts?

I think it'll just get put down as avaliable so another person can create an account with that name. At least I think that was how it used to work. I have a Hotmail account that I use about once a year (don't have any Live stuff connected to it either) or so and it has never been removed. But I think I could create a new account with the same name and it would be avaliable.

EDIT: No, I cannot create a new account with the same name. It was at least six months ago I used it last time.
