Windows 10: trying to make a .wim file stuck on OOBE region screen

I’m attempting to make a golden image of the computer I’m installing windows home edition on, with all the drivers, virus scan, an anti-malware program, office, and new windows updates. I did all this in audit mode. I then syspreped successfully and generalized the image. Turned of the computer and booted into WinPE. Successfully captured the image. I then booted into windows 10 and it gets stuck on OOBE(out-of-box experience). It pops up with the animations of The Cortana tutorial, then when it asks the region, keyboard layout, time zone, etc. it will not take any input from the keyboard or mouse. I’ve tried this twice with the same results(attempted to reinstall, reinstall drivers, updates, etc.) reboot to WinPE, reimage with dism. And it sticks at the same part both times. I’ve tried 3 different keyboards and mice. All of the keyboards and mice work during the windows 10 installation and on WinPE. I’m just about to give up and do a regular Install. I’m doing all this to have a custom refresh image that I can go back to that will be like a factory image restore that I can have all the drivers, updates, etc. installed if I ever need to wipe windows. Please help any IT professionals that deal with deployments and might know why this isn’t working!

Stuck in OOBE screen

I tried to reset my laptop to factory settings but now im stuck in oobe screens.. It fails to set up the region so i just skipped it but when it comes to the network, everytime i press skip it wobt let me.. It keeps returning to the oops something went
erong screen and say OOBEEULA.. Can someone help me with this?

 

Compacting a wim file?

Sorry, no idea where to put this. I just recently learned how to use dism. I use it to slipstream all hotfixes and ie10 ect into an AIO install disc. The problem is, it creates a huge install.wim after 8 index mounts and slipstreams. Considering all 8 images use the same darn wim and files, don't know why it has to increase the wim size by 1gig. Either I need to figure out how to use the same wim.install file for all indexes, or I need to compact the wim file which is now 4gbs with ie10 and all updates to April. Any way to do either?

 

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
