    Trying to migrate Mail from Vista machine to one with Win10


    For a relative who had for years been running Win Mail on her VIsta machine ...

    She acquired a new machine with Windows 10 installed and I assisted with migrating all data over. Regarding the Mail system, I opened Mail on the Vista machine and clicked Export for all her Mail data, including Contacts.

    Once the Win10 machine was booted, I opened the Mail utility and presumed I would be taken to a launch window that presented, among perhaps other things, an Import button. Not so !!!

    To my surprise and disappointment, the first screen that appears is one asking me to select an account (within a drop-down window)!!

    Is there no way to simply bring in the Exported Mail files to the Mail app in Windows 10 ??

    Migrating Win10 to NVMe SSD

    I am going to migrate my Win10 to my NVMe SSD. Installation wise there should be no problem. However I cannot seem to be able to erase the old Windows 10 on the SATA SSD. If I boot from USB Win10 Installation media it only ask me whether I want to repair the SATA SSD Win10 or not. Any ideas on how to complete erase the SSD that currently have Win10 on it? I tried sanitize drive and PSID revert in Win10, neither would work. The SATA SSD is Crucial MX200.

    Clayton, yes you can use your own files, as well realize the files from the tutorial attachments are the exact same thing already coming from Windows Vista - it's all the same.

    The tutorial instructions how to do it in every detail are posted Here

    Please for your own sake, just be sure you understand the limitations of using the old Vista WinMail client out of it's native environment inside of Windows7/8/10 by reading through the disclaimer, and the Bug List that's linked on the page there, and then decide if you want to do it and if it's right for you.

    Firstly, can I import into Win10 "Mail". I don't see that option....or do I have to download and install "Live Mail"

    I have exported all mail as well as copied entire directory to external directory.
