  1. Trying to network share two HDDs; one will, one won't

I have three physical HDDs on my windows 10 computer

    Drive 0 = C: system drive
    Drive 1 = D: Data drive
    Drive 2 = T: Dropbox drive

The two drives I want to share on the network are D: and T:

I have set up sharing for both but I cannot access T: from any other computer on the network

Here are the network dialog boxes side by side.

They look the same to me, yet every other computer (six of them) on the network allows me access to D: but denies me access to T:

Is there something else I am missing?

    :)

  2. One computer can't access network share from one server

Nothing from this link works. I have also tried to make static ip nad DHCP again - nothing works. Try also some registry settings from this link but still failed:

I have found that file share from another server which is also 2003 doesn't work too. Other file shares from 2012 works fine. This problem still affects only my PC - other works great.

If I make network share on my PC it is accessible from Server. It looks like Windows 2003 Servers are not trusting my PC.

Any ideas dear Microsoft? Trying to network share two HDDs; one will, one won't :(

  3. One computer can't access network share from one server

    Hello,

I have active directory (2012 level) with couple of servers with network shares and many PCs which use them. Accidentally one PC (Windows 10 Pro) got problem and can't access one server (2003 r2) and its network share.

    • net view \\servername gives 53 error "the network path was not found".
    • net view server_ip the same
    • I can ping server - works good.
    • I can access all other servers and network shares - no problem.
    • I can connect to server via Remote Desktop
    • IPv6 disabled
    • reconnecting domain - no effect
    • turn it on/off - still no effect Trying to network share two HDDs; one will, one won't :)
    • restarting services "server" and "workstation" on both sides - no effect.
    • Another user logged to this PC - same problem.
    • Logged to another PC (also Windows 10) - connection works as expected.
    • When I try to map network share - I get uknown error 0x800004005
I have no idea what else can I check. Could you be so kind and help me? Trying to network share two HDDs; one will, one won't :)

  5. OK, I didn't think of that. I thought the Security tab only pertained to users on the computer itself.

I found that T: didn't have "Everyone" listed, so I added it, gave it full permissions, and bingo

    Thanks for the assist!!
