Hi Microsoft! I have an error. I'm trying to play my favorite game and it says "This application requires one of the following versions of the .NET Framework: v4.0.30319" I DON'T CARE HOW LONG TILL I GET A RESPONSE I WANT TO KNOW WHERE OR HOW I CAN FIX IT THOUGH.* Moved from Community Center* Original title: How can I fix this error?

• Are you getting any error message when you try to play the games?
• Are you trying to play the games online?
• Is the issue confined with a particular game?
• What is the make and model of the computer?
• Have you made any recent changes to the computer?

Method 1: Try updating the graphics card drivers and check if it works.

Follow the steps to update the graphics card driver:

• Press Windows key + X and click on Device Manager.
• Search for Display Adapters.
• Right-click on the Graphics Card and click on
  Update Driver Software.

Trying to play a game but it is not working..

Most games that you play on Windows 10 may require you to use a Microsoft account to log in. However, there are games that requires a specific profile or email address to log in. To better assist you with your concern, kindly answer the following questions:

• Are you using the same Microsoft account to log in on the Xbox App?
• Are you still able to sign in using the same email address on the
  Microsoft account page online?
• On what game are trying to sign?

If you are trying to sign in to an EA game, it will require you to log in using an Origin account instead of a Microsoft account.

To find the correct email address attached to your gamertag, you may visit:
Find your Microsoft account email address or password.

 

Can't play Hit It Rich game and system freezes

Thank you for your response.

I can understand how frustrating it would be. This issue might be due to corrupted profile or if the game is not installed completely. I suggest you to follow these steps and let us know if it works.

Could you please help me with the below questions:

• Are you aware of any changes happened on the computer prior to this issue?
  
• Have you tried playing this game on other browser (Google chrome or Mozilla) and check for the issue?
  

Step 1: Uninstall or Repair the game.

1. Press Windows and
   R key together on your Keyboard.
2. Type appwiz.cpl and hit enter.
   
3. Right click on the Hit it Rich app > Select Repair or uninstall it.
4. Reinstall the application and check for the issue.
   

Step 2: Create a new local account.

The reason might be due to user account corruption, so I would suggest you to ‘Create
a local user or administrator account’ and check if the issue persists.

Note: You will not see all your files under your default file location.
So your data will be saved under C:\Users\User_name.
