Windows 10: Trying to recover the past

    Trying to recover the past


    Alright Windows Community, I need some help with this one because it's outside of my gear house.My girlfriend's father passed away a few months ago rest in peace sir, and she just now finally got his computer after months of waiting. We're trying to login so we can move any important files over to an external drive for record keeping purposes and save anything. We don't want to just wipe it. UNFORTUNATELY, we can't get into the computer. The password he put in is no longer working and we can't figure out what to do outside of asking here.

    Best thermal paste

    Most decent thermal paste is about all the same (1-2 degree difference). Without knowing the two listed, (I use MX-2), I would suggest going with the one that is non-conductive.

    Help with heat sink thermal paste for h100i 1800x

    Use the paste you brought. Also I would have suggest artic x4 unless yours is better but yes use yours.

    Actually check the temp with the factory standard factory paste first and list the temps

    I am sorry.. I have no idea what that is.. I am pretty green I'm afraid.

    I wasn't trying to recover any files.. I wanted to format a new drive in an old computer.. The old drive died.

    I did what Namslas90 said but then when I got to the next step .. and hit enter.. nothing happened.. sigh...

    Anyway.. I am waiting on the next step.. Thank you for your input ...
