Windows 10: Trying to recover usb drive

USB drive does not appear in file manager.In Disk management, drive is not in top listHowever, in a lower box it is listed as disk 1, online, active partition, working properly. But when I try to assign a drive letter, it says "error: File not found." When I try to format, it says it needs a drive letter.Similarly in DISKPART, I can see the drive, create the partition, set it active, set it online, but get "file not found" when attempting to assign a drive letter or format the drive.All online help I've found just says to click on "set drive letter" and select add drive and go. Did you burn your USB Flash drive using these instructions? How to Try and Install Chrome OS Flex: Step-By-Step Guide
Also, try the Flash drive on another computer. Like Ubuntu, you can boot the computer with the flash drive and run the Chrome OS from it to Try it, without installing it.

Does not work on a windows pc which is what the OP probably intended

windows by default does not have HFS and HFS+ based hard drives.
Able to perform retrieval on both HFS and HFS+ based hard drives. and so will not work with windows
