Trying to remove Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI

Hi, I've looked through google for a good hour now and couldn't find any command lines that was able to remove this: Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI

I changed windowsapp folder permission from trustedinstaller to myself but it still failed. Anyone know how to completely uninstall this from my pc?

:)

Skype Windows 2010

Followed the steps described in the link but got the message Failed to remove 'Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI'. This package is part of Windows core applications and cannot be uninstalled.

I have to say of 4 application names mentioned in the link I have only 1.

3. Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI AppX Problems

Hello Microsoft.

I keep having a problem with Forza Motorsport 7, well actually the Xbox-apps that this game is using, the "Press Enter to Start" Screen in Forza 7 signs me into my Xbox profile and this works fine, but then it wants to sync my savegame or do some other Xbox-related
stuff, another Xbox-app screen pops up for a split second and then closes instantly, so i'm stuck endlessly with a spinning loading wheel of Forza7, or i get savegame-sync problem stuck at 0% saying "We should be done soon" (waiting for hours on the sync won't
help), it's not the first time this issue has happened, i had this even back in the Forza Horizon 3 days, exact same problem.

After some digging i found the following.

The process that causes this is Xbox.CallableUI (Xbox.TCUI.exe or something), to this day, i can't figure out what causes this particular issue every time, doing a complete upgrade-repair reinstall of Windows10 fixes this, but only up to a certain point
until it randomly starts happening again.

Event viewer logfiles shows the following :

------

1 : AppContainer onecore\ds\security\gina\profile\profext\appcontainer.cpp Line:1783 @{Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI_1000.16299.15.0_neutral_neutral_cw5n1h2txyewy?ms-resource://Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI/resources/PkgDisplayName} Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI_cw5n1h2txyewy
was not created because it already exists.

2 : Activation for Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI_cw5n1h2txyewy!Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI failed. Error code: This app does not support the contract specified or is not installed.. Activation phase: COM activation

3 : Started deployment RegisterByPackageFullName operation on a package with main parameter: Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI_1000.16299.15.0_neutral_neutral_cw5n1h2txyewy and Options: RepairAppRegistrationOption and 0. See Troubleshooting packaging, deployment, and query of Windows Store apps (Windows)
for help diagnosing app deployment issues.

------

I tried all the usual technical stuff, basic troubleshooters, reinstalls, dism, sfc, file & folder checks + registry permission checks, services checks, wmi, dcom components checks, network & internet checks, group policy checks, resetting apps, powershell
app reinstalls, creating a new windows account. but no luck so far.

I just have a feeling it's probably a simple thing causing huge xbox-app problems, this is usually the case, but you just need to know where that needle in the haystack is. rather than doing repair-reinstalls of W10 all the time, i want to find the root-cause
of this problem, it might not only help me, but also alot of other people with this game and the "Press Enter to Start" issues of Forza7.

Hopefully a Microsoft-Engineer could help me out? thanks in advance.

You can uninstall Xbox app by typing Powershell into Start Menu and start the PowerShell as a administrator.

At the Powershell execute below command:

Code: Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxApp | Remove-AppxPackage
If you ever change your mind and want to reinstall Xbox app, execute below Powershell command:

Code: Add-AppxPackage -register "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.XboxApp_36.36.12003.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\appxmanifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode
The info freebooter provided is completely useless. Actually, an upgrade is needed to achieve that level.

7. Hi mwapy,

I have just now test the Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxApp | Remove-AppxPackage powershell command from Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and it works Xbox app did uninstall by this command.

But the second command wont work as i notice version number have change for the Xbox app below command will re-installs the Xbox app.

Code: Add-AppxPackage -register "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.XboxApp_39.39.1002.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\appxmanifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode
I don't know what kind of upgrade you are referring to that you think will resolve this issue.
