    Trying to run chkntfs /x c: as admin results in "Access is Denied"


    I'm trying to stop check disk from automatically running on startup.The following should do that via cmd, but I'm getting "Access is Denied" while running CMD as admin:chkntfs /x c:How can I solve this?

    Hi everyone, i lost administrator right then I can't access c drive so how to solve this problem, please give me step to step instructions for solve this problem

    Just recently I have started to have this problem when trying to access c::

    Computer runs fine , but, also programs cant update because of this.

    I have tried all the suggestions on here and for c:: properties\ security and it either freezed or i get Access is denied.

    Very frustrating as I cant access it and nothing can update

    running chkdsk or chkntfs in windows 10

    Greetings
    Scanning the hard disk drivers can be done from windows, but I'm curious about bizarre responses to trying to check disk from cmd windows (just for info, not fix).
    chkdsk yields:
    Access Denied as you do not have sufficient privileges.
    You have to invoke this utility running in elevated mode.
    and chkntfs yields:
    Cannot query state of drive X:
    can anyone explain?
