    Trying to send emails from gmail to appear from my business domain, but can't do it?


    I'm trying to get emails sent from gmail account to appear to come frommy paiud for domain- jhpropertymaintenace.com, but whenever I get to this section and click add account it says error. I tried all the combinations of passwords I could think of but nothing works, any ideas?

    Can't send emails from my domain

    I have tried to use GoDaddy's built in mail service which is based on Office 365, and I was able to send emails from the domain which were being delivered fine after a DNS change.
    However, since switching back to my personal outlook.com account, I am unable to send emails once again.
    Is this suggesting that the problem is on Microsoft's end?

    Possibly as MS have very sensitive DMARC protocols around SPF and DKIM settings to cut down on spammers.

    I've had those 550's from my domain when sending test emails to rarely used accounts, I got around it by making sure all my email account addresses are in the contacts address book for each of the email accounts, which will upgrade their 'reputation'.

    Bear in mind that these days even known saved contacts that you've corresponded with for years can get spammed (or even bounced/black holed) if their DMARC 'reputation' isn't very clean, which is a constantly moving target. And the same vice versa, you could be getting similarly treated.

    Check your WAN IP address and domain for grey/blacklisting, that can affect sending or delivery issues, and/or depending on how the SMTP send side is set up (there are blacklists that monitor certificates/configuration for instance).
