Windows 10: Trying to solve issue where mouse cursor freezes every minute or so for 1 second, and then...

Hi all,I've started trouble-shooting this issue as I feel like it used to happen infrequently, and is now happening frequently.It all started with just one mouse freeze. I'd never seen it happen before. This PC is a somewhat high end, custom built gaming PC that never really goes anywhere near it's full capabilities as far as CPU, GPU capacity, etc. At first, I wasn't sure if the entire PC was freezing for a moment as everything on the screen was always static, but then it happened when a webpage was streaming content. No mouse cursor

Hi,

It is possible that the system did not recognize the mouse of your computer after it booted up. This can be the reason why you do not see the mouse cursor. Kindly perform a power cycle to refresh the power of the computer. To do this, follow these steps:

• Shutdown the computer.
• After shutting it down, remove the battery (if you're using a laptop) and disconnect the computer from the charger.
  
• Wait for 1 minute.
• After 1 minute, attach the battery and turn on the computer.
• Check if you will see the mouse cursor.

Intermittent Freezing linked to Cursor movement

Hi,

The cursor on my laptop freezes every few seconds when I move it. This happens with both my bluetooth mouse and my inbuilt touchpad. I know the laptop is freezing and not just the cursor because if I run an app with a progress bar it also freezes at the same time as the cursor. The freezing only seems to happen when I move the cursor.

The freezing is just momentary (like it pauses for a second and then goes on as normal). I do not have to do anything to get it to unfreeze.

I have tried re-installing the drivers for mouse and touch pad.

I have defragged and cleaned up the HD.

I have tried doing a system restore but just get an error (I only have 1 restore point because I stupidly deleted them to create space I didnt need in case it was a space issue).

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Mouse Freezing every 30 seconds

I have a strange problem, pissing me off especially when I try to play BF2142. My mouse randomly freezes, sometimes every 5 minutes, sometimes 5 times a minute. Also it freezes for 2 minutes sometimes, and for 2 seconds other times..... WTF!! I plugged in a standard PS2 mouse and that one works great ALL the time, but the USB mouse keeps doin this crap for a week now. I've done a few virus scans but nothing. Any ideas?
