  1. Trying to transfer Documents to appear under This PC on Windows 11 to avoid sync backup,...

I've encountered a new issue while trying to transfer my Documents, Pictures, etc. over to my new Windows 11 computer from my USB flash drive. On my old Windows 10 computer, my Documents, Pictures, etc. appears listed in the left column of File Explorer under "This PC" to access them directly and conveniently. The folders and their contents were also automatically duplicated under another section "Quick Access" which appeared above "This PC" as well as in the core folder located under This PC > Windows C > Users > Joseph. Now, on the new Windows 11 computer, Documents, Pictures, etc.

    100% complete transfer window.

Oh, yes. It is Windows 11. Computer is new and Windows 11 is new for me too. I have an Acronis True Image running, and it is not designed for Windows 11 actually, it is an old version. There is no backup or sync setup though. It is just installed, but there is a realtime protection feature running. This window is never appearing in the day time, only in the night apparently. I see it when I come in the morning.

  3. whats difference between "This PC" Documents folder and c://.../documents ?

OneDrive takes over the default shell folders during the Windows 11 setup.

You can do one of the following:

    1) Move your files from c:/users/me/documents to c:/users/me/onedrive/documents

    -or-

    2) Disable OneDrive sync for the Documents/Desktop/Pictures. To revert the shell folder locations to default, open OneDrive and do the following:

Important: Before proceeding, copy the files in those special folders to another folder or external drive. Please don’t copy them anywhere under Desktop/Documents/Pictures. This is because disabling OneDrive backup for a folder erases the local copies of the files. Copying them to a different location beforehand will ensure you don’t need to download them again from the OneDrive cloud.

    1. Right-click the OneDrive icon in the Notification area and click Settings.
    2. Select the Backup tab, and click Manage Backup
    3. In the Manage folder backup dialog, click on the Stop backup link under the special folder (Desktop, Documents, or Pictures)
    4. Click Stop backup in the confirmation dialog that appears.
    5. Repeat the step for each shell folder you want to revert to the original location.

Unable to sign in to Google Backup and Sync

    Hello,
I am having trouble logging in Google Backup and Sync on one particular Windows 10 PC in my house.
It started around the April updates.
All my other PCs could log in to Backup and Sync without problem, but my main PC cannot.
I tried many methods (registry cleanup, firewall, antivirus, etc.) and even using the ISO to reinstall Windows 10 (still keeping my apps and files) but I still get an "Error Something went wrong. Your account might not have been added" message when I tried to log in on the first step for Backup and Sync after reinstalling the software. When tried to log in with a browser, after all the steps the browser got stuck on a blank page without anyway to proceed.
I sought support from the Google Drive forum, but the suggestions they gave still did not solve my problem, and then they just gave up. I wonder if anyone here could help me?

Here is the error message (the next button was unresponsive): Imgur: The magic of the Internet
I checked the log generated by Backup and Sync, and I noticed an error at the end and not sure if it is related: Imgur: The magic of the Internet

Here is the post I made on the Google Drive forum: https://productforums.google.com/for...ve/N3ZwAB6-R_c

    Thank you
