Windows 10: Trying to update my 9 year old laptop from 1809 to 22h2

I recently just tried using my old laptop which is around 9 years old. I came back to the laptop and was struggling to install any updates , at first they wouldn’t appear and then when they appeared they just wouldn’t download. I eventually installed the majority of updates through trouble shooting and restarting however the only thing that still will not install is the 22h2 update. The closest I got was initialising at 80% but got stuck there for 5 hours even though I am connected through ethernet with 900mb download speed. I tried using the update assistant download to see if that would wor

New Laptop with 1809 - try to update to 1909 - get 80070003 error

Hi folks.

Hope you can help.

Brand-new laptop delivered today. Ran Winver and got 1809 as version.

Ran Windows update several times and was eventually offered 1909.

Tried updating and got the error message "We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0x80070003).

Any suggestions?

As I said, this is a brand-new laptop (currently about 4 hrs old).

Difficulties installing windows updates for the last year (22H2, 0x800700c1)

The script ran fine. I hope you rebooted the unit.

You should be able to install updates (or do an in-place upgrade, if required) now.

Please do the following:

Option 1:

• Install the latest cumulative update for your OS version via Windows Update.
  

• And use the method in the following thread to upgrade to 22H2. How to upgrade version of os from 2004, 20H2, 21H1, 21H2 to 22H2 - Microsoft Community

Option 2:

Do an in-place upgrade to 22H2. How to perform an In-place Upgrade with Windows 10 Step-by-Step Guide - Microsoft Community.

Unable to update Windows 10 v 1903 to latest update 22H2

The script ran fine.

Your BIOS version is outdated (year 2016). Update the BIOS for your motherboard.

And then use the Media Creation Tool to upgrade to 22H2. See How to perform an In-place Upgrade with Windows 10 Step-by-Step Guide - Microsoft Community.

Note:

The Intel processor i5-6600K is not listed in the 22H2 CPU compatibility list.

Anyway, give the 22H2 setup a try.

However, the processor is listed in the 21H2 CPU compatibility list.
