    Trying to update my PC, Im getting a code 80070490. It is the last thing I need for an update,


    Trying to update my antivirus software. I am getting a code 80070490 that is preventing me from completing the process.

    Guys I've tried everything I can think of to get this update to install... I keep getting this error message:

    Code 80070490

    Any ideas?

    Error code 80070490 when trying to update from Windows 7 to 10

    I keep getting Error code 80070490 when trying to update from Windows 7 to 10.

    Tried System Update Readiness Tool - no help.

    Tried to repair Windows by following instructions about this error code. They say to insert Windows DVD and run Setup. That doesn't work either since it says the version I have installed is newer than what I am trying to install.

    Any other suggestions?
