Windows 10: Trying to update to Windows11 22h2 but always fails even when trying to install fresh ISO

I've been trying to update to the latest Win11pro 22h2 since last December. Not working well at all. It always gets to 98% and then "something happened" and it rolls it back to 21h2 as you see below. I've tried everything except to nuke the SDD and treat it like is was a new unit. Not really wanting to go that route.I started just with the Windows update, no joy.moved to the ISO, mounted and install, no joy.turned off my Antivirus and tried above two methods again, no joy.uninstalled my Antivirus and tired above two methods again, no joy.I've been reading these forums and trying their ideas

Windows 11 Update error while trying to upgrade to 22H2

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

The most successful method to install the 22h2 update is to use the Windows 11 ISO and it will save a lot of data usage from failed attempts.

Please follow the steps, this is then just an update and your files and applications will remain untouched.

When the ISO file completes downloading

Disconnect from the Internet

Temporarily disable any 3rd party Anti-virus you may have installed

Then, in Windows File Explorer, double click the ISO and then run Setup.exe and select the upgrade option.

 

KB4025339 Fails Install 0x80070564

I am trying Eagle 51's suggestions now. Windows Update troubleshooter found a bunch of errors and fixed all but one.The update is trying to download KB4025339 again. I'll see what happens. At step one troubleshooter finishes with one error unresolved "Potential Windows Update Database Error Detected-Not Fixed". Windows update stalled at 0%.

At step 2 same troubleshooter error. The KB finished a new download failed to install.
Did step 3 KB has downloaded but fails to install.

If Eagle's suggestion doesn't work I'll try EdTittel's suggestion

Tried bothe Eagle & Ed 's suggestions - do not work. Anyone else?

I have noticed that the latest update for my nvidia drivers has failed to update. Wondering about that!

 

Win 11 22H2, Windows Update repeatedly trying to install 22H2

Win 11 Windows update is set to automatically update. Failed installing the 2022-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5020044)

Failed to install on 06/12/2022 - 0x800f0988

It is now repeatedly trying to install Windows 11 version 22H2 (asking for a reboot) and failing (with error 0x80246007), despite Windows Update informing me that 22H2 was installed successfully on the 21/09/2022 (also System>About, reporting that windows 11 home version 22H2 , installed on 21/09/2022 OS build 22621.521)

What can I do to fix Windows Update?
