Windows 10: Trying to upgrade from windows 7 to 10 and getting setup has failed to validate product...

I have Windows 7.....I know I know...I have purchased an upgrade to Windows 10 as some of my programs are not functioning properly due to old Windows. This is a laptop I purchased when I left a previous employer so the previous employer had purchased the windows version. When I go through the setup of Media I get a message to say I may be a victim of software fraud but it allows it go through until th every end when I get an error to say 'Setup has failed to validate the product key' I'm not a techie and this is proving very difficult as I need to get work done. Any assistance would be greatly

I am trying to upgrade windows 7 premium to windows 10. when I run setup I get the message:

Setup failed to validate the product key.

I have run the troubleshooter and get the following error message:

windows update error 0x800F081

any help greatly appreciated...

My thinkpad t430s hdrive crashed and I reinstalled win 7 (which had previously been upgraded to win 10) I looking to reinstall win 10 but come up against the following
