Windows 10: Trying to upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, installation failure?

Hello! I've been trying for weeks to upgrade my Windows 8.1 to 10, and I've tried every suggestion under the sun. I've run many, many command prompt suggestions, deleted / renamed the $Windows file, ran the troubleshooter, used the Update Assistant, used the Media Creation Tool, etc. It will get to 100%, bring up the message 'your PC will restart in a moment', then it will crash back to desktop and throw up the generic error code 0x80004005. Which, of course, really means nothing and offers no help. I assumed it was due to a corrupt file, but I've tried every fix to deal with that, and nothing seems to be working. I ran SetupDiag, so I'll go ahead and attach that file. Maybe someone here can make sense of it. I searched and searched the internet for someone with a similar problem, and I couldn't find any solutions or actual answers as to why this might be happening and how to fix it.

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
