Windows 10: Trying to verify a number for microsoft support after an attack on my laptop.

Windows Defender locked up my laptop for illegal activity after I clicked on a link. The message said to call 888-503-0922 for assistance. I did. The young man who answered confirmed my name and address. He then proceeded to try to "find out what the illegal activity was and what virus was attacking my computer." We got to the point of accessing "www.anydesk.com" which as far as I can tell is a commercial product for allowing anyone to remotely access my computer. At this point I disengaged with the young man. I ran a McAfee scan which came up negative of any virus on my computer. Now, I

Verifying Mobile Number

Every time I access my Ovi account on my pc it says I need to verify my mobile number. Every time I click the verify link I get a message saying I should receive a message shortly; I have never yet received a message although I've been trying on and off
for weeks (the mobile number listed is the correct one).



Any ideas anybody ??
