Windows 10: TUF FX705GM WiFi code 10 error

Been searching for a solution to this for a while in several places, but I thought I'd try this subreddit too.

I'm suffering from this apparently infamous Code 10 error with the Intel AC 9560 Wi-Fi card inside my ASUS TUF FX705GM laptop. I've tried almost every solution I can think of or find to fix the issue; updating to the newest driver, using an older driver, reinstalling the driver, updating Windows, resetting the BIOS and restarting a few times; nothing seems to be working for me. I even swapped out the WiFi card for another one I bought from eBay, and things seemed to be fine until about a week or two later, at which point I started having issues again.

I had the laptop sent in for RMA some time ago to see if ASUS themselves could fix the issue, and they did, but again it only worked for a week or two. They mentioned in the repair report they sent me something about changing the network stack setting in the advanced BIOS settings, which was causing the issue. I can't remember exactly if they turned that setting on or off to get the WiFi to work, but either way I've tried both to no avail.

I did set up a dual-boot with Manjaro after I bought the laptop, and again after it was sent back from RMA, which seemed to coincide with the Wi-Fi error starting to appear. This did make me think that the dual-boot was somehow causing the issue (as I need to change a few BIOS settings to be able to boot into Manjaro), but I haven't attempted to boot into Manjaro since replacing the Wi-Fi card, so I'm now almost certain that wasn't the cause.

BIOS error codes

So I have motherboard with installed small LED screen, which presents BIOS error codes.

Where can I find a list of those errors. And I don't mean beep codes, but the "number" codes.

Ex after installing sound card, the motherboard startup fails with the code 15.

Windows 10 will not activate Error code 0x803F7001


Possibly there can be the problem with Microsoft activation Server, so your Windows 10 is not activated. In this scenario, you need to wait and verify if it is the issue from Microsoft’s side. But if you are getting error code 0x803f7001, you can also try these steps:

1. Open Settings app. Then go to Update and security > Activation screen > Change product.
2. Type your Windows edition product key and click Next.
3. You’ll get We couldn’t activate Windows error message.
4. Retry steps 1-3 then type your 25-characters unique product key.
5. Wait for the process to complete, Windows 10 is activated.
