Windows 10: turbo tax download

I purchased turbo tax, downloaded from turbotax.com. When I try to run the program I get a message about the app store and the option to run the program anyway:

However when I click the icon for "see how" to run it, I get a message about an smode switch. What is that?

Method 1:

I suggest you to perform a clean boot and check. Setting the system in a clean boot state will help to identify if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.

To uninstall the software follow these steps:

Problem with turbo tax

I am trying to run Turbo Tax 2018 but it keeps crashing when saving the file. Spent an hour on the phone with Turbo Tax and they have suggested that this could be a Windows problem. Any thoughts?

 

Installing Turbo Tax Deluxe 2016

I'm using Windows 10 Pro and trying to install turbo tax. The installation process stops at 27% and in about 40 to 50 minutes times out with error message 65535.

The computer is new and I have downloaded and installed several other programs since turbo tax failed. Any suggestions.
