Turn off auto-updates and revert to an older version?

I did not expect things like MS Paint to get auto-updates, or updates at all. Now the app which has remained simplistic and quick to use and navigate has become complicated, difficult, and sluggish.I'm on a new install of windows 11, but just today MS Paint seemed to update showing off a preview of AI generation that no one wants and the zoom doesn't zoom in or out by good chunks, but by horrible increments with wonky motion and the canvas doesn't stay nice and anchored to the left of the screen, it's now been centered. This all just makes it feel like im wrangling an image im merely trying to

  2. reverting to an older graphics driver

Windows 11 may be trying to revert your graphics driver back to an older version because it has detected a compatibility issue with the new driver. This could be due to a number of reasons such as a bug in the driver or an incompatibility with another piece of software on your computer.

However, if you have noticed a significant improvement in performance after installing the new graphics driver, then it may be worth trying to keep it installed. You can try disabling automatic driver updates in Windows 11 and manually installing the new driver again.

To disable automatic driver updates in Windows 11, follow these steps:

    1. Click on the Start button and then click on the Settings icon.
    2. Click on the Update & Security option.
    3. Click on the Windows Update option.
    4. Click on the Advanced options link.
    5. Under the "Optional updates" section, click on the "Driver updates" option.
    6. Turn off the toggle switch for "Automatically install drivers".
Once you have disabled automatic driver updates, you can download and install the new graphics driver again from the manufacturer's website. If Windows 11 still tries to revert the driver back to the older version, you can try using a third-party driver update tool to help you keep the newer driver installed.

Note: Before making any changes to your system settings, it's always a good idea to create a backup of your important files and data.

  3. File replaced with a older version on Onedrive

Where are the results of the steps I asked you to perform?

If there are no older files in OneDrive where the file is stored, then how could it have been replaced with an older version?

Is it possible the later version was not saved? Do you have auto-save turned on?

I asked you about Previous Versions. Is it turned on, yes or no?
