    Turn off kids time limit

    Hi,

We have been trying to turn off the timer for apps on my daughter's PC. She is, like others, doing school and other work from home now and having to dole out minutes is a pain.

I've gone into our account and flipped the switch on her account to turn off time limits but it doesn't seem to be working. She still gets locked out every 3 hours.

We have tried re-booting her computer a couple of times, but she still gets the message to "ask" for more time.

I have no idea how to fix this - any ideas? Can I just somehow delete her account and set a new one up?

    :)

    time limits for children

    Hi,

Thank you for being a part of Windows 10.

When you add a child to your family, you can help make sure they're staying safe while they use the PC while still giving them the freedom to explore. You can make sure that adult websites are blocked, or specify just which sites you want your kids to see.
You can also make sure they can only use apps and games that are appropriate for their age, and you can set screen time limits to make sure they're not spending too much time in the virtual world. Kids can ask your permission to keep browsing when their time
is up, or to see or download anything that's blocked—together, you can decide the level of restriction that's right for them.

I would suggest you to try the steps from the following link:

Keep your kids safer on the PC (Applies to Windows 10)

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/set-pc-limits

Post us the results after you try the above steps.

    Turn off kids time limit

    Windows 10 Kids Security

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community, we appreciate your interest in Windows 10.

I understand the inconvenience that you are facing on Windows 10, we will help you with this issue.

In order to assist you better, I would like to know the following queries:

    • Is the issue confined to a particular user account?
    • What type of account have you logged into? Is it a Microsoft account or local account?
    • Have you logged in as an Administrator?
    • Do you get any error message when you try to restrict your kid to use computer?

To turn on Family Safety, you or at least one designated parent needs an
administrator account; the kids you choose to monitor each need a standard user account.

To check whether the account you are logged in is administrator or not please follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows + R key.
    • Type netplwiz and hit enter.
    • See the account you are logged in with.

If you are not logged in as an administrator, I suggest you try logging in as administrator and check.

I would recommend you to reconfigure the Family Safety settings and check if it works.

You can refer link below to setup the account.

Set up your kids' accounts in Family Safety

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/set-up-kids-accounts#1TC=t1

    Note: Applies to Windows 10.

Once that is setup, refer this link to setup the limits for the accounts.

Limit when and how your kids can use the PC

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/limit-setting-kids-pc#1TC=t1

Hope this helps. Please respond if you have any further related query.

    Thank you.
