Windows 10: Turn off new feature that verifies identity for remembered passwords

In the past few days, Windows Security popped up and asked me if I wanted to use a new feature that checks my identity using the camera before using passwords that have been saved on my computer.Seemed like it would be helpful, so I said yes, but it's actually a pain in the ankle.Now I can't figure out how to turn it off or even what it's called to try searching for help!

Verifying identity on new laptop

I cannot verify the identity on my new laptop. it seems stuck on that page, with the identity codes i have tried not being accepted. When i went on my old laptop and requested a new password they sent me a code to verify a change of password and that worked
fine on my old laptop. I have tried the old code and the new code on my new laptop but neither have been accepted.

i bought a new lenovo ideapad laptop today and went to sign in to microsoft. I couldnt remember my password so it is asking to verify my identity. So i gave entered in my email and sent code about 10 times. I am not recieving an email. So then i decided
to do it on my phone to see if it would work and it did. So password is reset. But i am still stuck on the verify my identity of my laptop.

Now it is saying that the session has expired and to restart the process.

It wont let me go back to try the process again or reenter my password! Help because my partner had bought exactly the same laptop and he is sotting beside me happily using his and im super frustrated.

 

Email clients not remembering passwords

Hi all

A friends computer will not remember his gmail password. He used to use outlook, and seeing that I use thunderbird and it would be easier to troubleshoot I installed that for him. Now that was working for a few weeks, and now the same problem is occuring.

We are 100% sure the password is correct, as we can access the email account through webmail, but the local clients will not remember the correct password. Of course the 'Remember password' button is checked, but still no good.

It returns with incorrect password.

Any suggestions?
