Windows 10: "Turn off S Mode" taking longer than it should

I've followed the instructions to remove Microsoft "S Mode." 20 minutes ago. The Store is still running in the background as I type this, and S Mode is still not turning off. When I did this the first time yesterday, it only took a few seconds after pushing the very same button S Mode turned back on after an update, which is its own can of worms but I'm choosing not to get into it.I've tried restarting the computer, and I've tried clearing out apps with the Task Manager though probably not very well. Why is it taking so long?

Tablet Mode doesn't automatically turn on

Hi Roice,

We suggest you to follow the below steps to make the tablet mode permanent:

• Click start and select settings.
• Select settings and then select tablet mode.
• Now you have different options to choose from, please choose settings that suits you.

WINDOWS 10 AIRPLANE MODE AUTOMATICALLY TURNS

Let us try the following steps, and check if it helps.



Step 1:

You can turn off aero plane mode from setting and check if it helps:

1. Go to settings.

2. Click on network.

3. Select flight mode and toggle to disable it.

4. After you tap or click the toggle to turn Airplane mode on or off, it can take your PC a few seconds to turn each wireless device on or off.



Step 2:

Try to Turn off Airplane Mode in Action Center and check the status.

1. Press Windows keys +A to open action center.

2. Click tap on airplane mode quick action button to toggle it on or off.



Step 3:

Try to turn off Airplane Mode in Network Notification Area Icon and check if that helps.

1. Click on network icon on the task bar.

2. Click/tap on aero plane icon to toggle it on or off.



Step 4:

If issue still persists, I suggest you to update the Wireless network drivers once again and check if it helps.

  Device Manager.

  Locate the Network adapter and expand the driver icon.
  
• 
  Look for Wireless driver and then right click and click on Update driver.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
