Windows 10: "Turn off the display" puts laptop to sleep instead

Brand new ASUS ZenBook with Windows 10 updated to the latest. In power settings, I set the screen to turn off after after a certain time and then go to sleep after another interval, but instead of turning off the screen first, it just goes to sleep instead.For example, set screen off after 5 minutes, sleep after 10 minutes. The PC goes to sleep at 5 minutes.Happens with battery or plugged in. I have no peripherals and no screensaver.I saw this being discussed back in 2017! Does anyone else still have this problem?

Go to Control Panel/System and Security/Power Options


You can adjust times as desired. Default will automatically turn computer off from Sleep after certain period if not adjusted.

What the IT person may have meant, is to put the laptop in Sleep mode if you intend on resuming use after a certain period instead of turning on/off at each use.

"Turn off display" function no longer work, laptop goes into sleep mode instead.

As requested, I have changed the settings based on your recommendations. I went on to let my laptop sit idle on battery for 4 mintues. Instead of turning the display off (the LED of the power should remain lit), it still went into sleep (LED of power was
blinking) despite already putting "Sleep" to "Never" on both power and AC. Seems like somehow this function couldn't register, what could have gone wrong?
