Windows 10: Turn off the pin option when starting my desktop

I also have a desktop with windows 11 and when I attempt to follow the instructions on how to disable the pin option, the disabled button is greyed out and unable to select it. Why do I have to have a pin option to sign into my own computer in my home. These tech companies keep making everything more complicated than it needs to be. Even my phone provider now requires me to put in a 7-digit code to retrieve a voice message on my phone and the disabled button is not even an option for it anymore. Even in my own home where I live alone, I have to let Netflix and Prime know who is watching.

No Option to Pin to Start

So there's no option to have recent docs directly from the start if the program is pinned to the start menu now?
That seems like a step backward

• Enter the location of the item or tap or click Browse to find the item in File Explorer.
