Windows 10: Turn Old Windows Laptop into a Permanent Slideshow

I have over 20,000 pictures on my laptop. Most people I know do not sit and scroll through their photos. I have an old Surface I do not use anymore and want to turn it into a scrolling picture frame. I can buy a dedicated "Digital Picture Frame", but they typically have only a fraction of the memory e.g., 25% of my current photos.For many years I have been surprised that there is no simple or even complex Windows software or app that will turn my laptop into a digital picture frame, particularly when I am not using it.I have tried some of the Windows features such as "Personalization" and

  Type Lock screen in the search bar and press enter
  
• 
  Select Advanced Slideshow settings
  
• 
  Click on Turn off screen after slideshow has played for and select the time limit

  Where does the photos folder located?

  Did you try to change the folder location and check?
  

I suggest you to follow the below steps:

Step 1: If the photos folder is located on the desktop, try to create another folder and copy all the content to the newly created folder and add this folder for slideshow and check.



Step 2: Try to create new folder if different location and copy all the content to the newly created folder in different location and add this folder for slideshow and check.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.
