Windows 10: turn on screen saver at a particular time of the day using task scheduler Windows 10 Home

Just as the title says.


I've Googled around and found this script:

%windir%\system32\mystify.scr -s

This script did not work in the scheduler but did work when I type it into run

My screen saver is set to 3D Text so I also tried this script C:\WINDOWS\system32\ssText3d.scr which did the same thing it did not work in the scheduler but did work in run


So the scripts work for the run box but don't for the scheduler.


I have also confirmed that the task scheduler is working: it successfully worked with this script to auto-lock the PC script: rundll32 user32.dll,LockWorkStation but, as the title says I need it to turn the screen saver on not auto-lock the PC.

I suggest you to clear the task from Task Scheduler using the below steps and check if the issue still persists.

Steps:-

• Type Task Scheduler on Search bar.
• Click on Task Scheduler Library.
• Select the particular task and right click on it.
• Select End.

Windows 10 "Bubbles" Screen Saver

Hi guy's,

On Windows 7 the screen saver didn't go to a black screen but it showed the desktop. Not getting that with Windows 10. Whats the deal? Have GTX750Ti

 

Computer will not go to sleep and/or the screen saver will not display in Windows 10.

I've followed your steps, and there is nothing listed under Task Status. There are 80 'Active Tasks', but nothing under Task Status (searched for last 30 days).

So unfortunately, no change there. :/

Any other suggestion to check?
