Windows 10: Turned on my HP. Clicked on my email icon to check mail and I get the following box... "ex...

Turned my HP laptop on (runs Windows 10) and it took several minutes to come up and look alive (the screen stayed half-lit during this time). I clicked on my envelope icon and got the following message block "ex plorer.exe" and also "Class not registered". I called HP..soory your 90 days for software is up... Good grief, any ideas? Also, I have never been able to incorporate Windows updates... as I have to go back and use the "last operating level" or the computer cannot fully boot up. Regards. LA

Mail App/Icon Email Address Incorrect

I suggest you to remove your email account from the Mail app and re-configure it. Follow the steps below to do the same:

To remove the email account:

• Open Mail app and click Settings
  (Gear icon).
• Click on Accounts.
• Click the account you want to remove.
• At the bottom, click Remove account or
  Remove all accounts.

To re-add the email account:

• Open Mail app and click Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Add an account, choose the type of account you want to add, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

mails dispeared in win10 outlook mail box

  Are you referring to mail app or Outlook.com?
  

I request you to check in Outlook.com whether you are able to find the emails.



If you are referring to the mail app, you may try to change the Mail box sync settings for the email account which are already configured in Mail app and check. Follow the below steps to change the mail box sync settings:

1. Open the Mail app (sign in to your email account if prompted).

2. Click on the gear icon (Settings) from the bottom left corner.

3. Click on the Accounts under
Settings.

4. Click on your account and select
Change settings.

5. Click on the Change mailbox sync settings and check in the
Sync options.

Now check if you are able to see the emails in the Mail app.

To turn off windows updates in windows 7 follow these steps:

Click the start button, in the search box type in 'windows updates', click on 'windows update'
in the search results list, in the left side of the windows update window click 'change settings'
then in the option bar select 'Never check for updates'.
