Windows 10: Turning off autosave

Discus and support Turning off autosave in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; How do i turn off auto save while I overwrite a form , so it does not save my new form as the old form.     Turning off autosave


    How do i turn off auto save while I overwrite a form , so it does not save my new form as the old form.

    I need to change a few things on each form but do not want to write each form out, but autosave saves my changed form as the original form.

    Need Serious Help: How To Record Video of What is Done on my PC?

    I suggest the following simple steps:

    1. Set the autosave options in MS Office to a low value say 5 minutes.
    2. Setup file history to autosave frequently - the shortest period is 5 mins
    3. Install Macrium Reflect Free and configure it to do a daily incremental system backup

    You should be well covered if you do the above to protect your key files.

    Autosave not properly working for a Word document on OneDrive

    I want to verify something:
    If you right-click the affected Word file where AutoSave keeps turning off, and select Properties, what does it list as the location of the file?

    Hi Esther,

    Move your mouse over the AutoSave button at the top left of the Office app you are in.

    A tooltip will appear and explain why AutoSave is not working/turned off

    What is reported on that Tooltip?
