Windows 10: Twinkle Tray overlay Brightness bug: Why is my brightness not showing when using keyboard...

Hi everyone.I've been using the program: Twinkle Tray, downloaded from the Microsoft Store, for many months and up until now it was working perfectly. However just today as I've logged in to my Desktop PC - I've noticed that on my keyboard when using the ↑ arrow key to increase brightness and the ↓ arrow key to decrease brightness the actual brightness overlay does not show up near the upper left hand corner of the screen anymore, instead it's only a black box.The only way to get the brightness overlay to show like normal is to actually click on the Twinkle Tray icon itself in the taskbar tray

unfortunately. your suggestion and the solutions provided by this thread are not fix it, but finally as a workaroud. i find a software named Twinkle Tray can adjust brightness! ! !

 

Windows volume & brightness overlay slider missing

I cannot see the volume slider overlay and brightness slider overlay on top left of screen when i press the designated buttons on my laptop keyboard.

Brightness and volume actions work but cannot see the overlay for some reason. even tried recent update of windows and restarting the services and even disabling the device in device manager.

Any help will be appreciated

Some computers can let Windows automatically adjust screen brightness based on the current lighting conditions.

To manually adjust the screen brightness, we suggest following these troubleshooting steps:

• Click Start, then select Settings.
• Choose System, then select Display.
• Under Brightness and color, move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness.
