Windows 10: Twitch Beta now available on Xbox One for Xbox Insiders

Watch your favorite games live and connect with players and fans around the world in the fully redesigned Twitch app, now available to all Xbox Insiders on Xbox One!

New features and improvements include:

Live video previews – check out live streams while you browse

Better support for past broadcasts – see chat on offline videos

Improved stability – the Twitch app has been rebuilt from the ground up to improve your viewing experience

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

On your Xbox One console, launch the Xbox Insider Hub (or install the Xbox Insider Hub from the Store first if necessary).

Navigate to Insider content > Apps > Twitch Beta.

Select Join.

Wait for the registration to finish processing (Pending will disappear) to be redirected to the Store page and install the Twitch Beta, or, select the Show in store button on the page once the registration is complete.

NOTE: After selecting Join, it can take some time for the registration to process. If Pending does not disappear after joining and you see a “Your registration is taking longer than expected” message, please check back a bit later.

If you encounter any issues with the new Twitch Beta app, please submit feedback via Report a problem (hold down the Xbox button and select Report a problem from the power menu).

Vigor Beta now available on Xbox One for Xbox Insiders

All Xbox Insiders are invited to participate in the Vigor Beta!

Announced at E3 and world premiered during Inside Xbox, , a unique and more hardcore take on the post-apocalyptic survival genre.

Taking place in Scandinavia, players take on the role of an outlander, engaging in unique encounters, seeking shelter, gaining resources, and building up in experience to be able to fight off other players.

If you’re interested in learning more about the game (and potentially playing with the developers!), please join the Vigor team for a dev stream tomorrow:

Vigor Dev Stream – Wednesday 7/18 at 9 AM PT (12 PM ET / 6 PM CEST).

You can find more information about tomorrow’s dev stream on the official Vigor Twitter.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

Sign in and launch the Xbox Insider Hub on your Xbox One console.

Navigate to Insider content > Vigor Beta.

Select Join.

Joining will automatically direct you to the Store to download Vigor Beta!

Please feel free to share screenshots, game clips, or stream the Vigor Beta!

If you encounter any issues while participating in the Vigor Beta, please submit feedback via Report a problem from your console (hold down the Xbox button and select Report a problem from the power menu).

In addition, be sure to complete any surveys for the Vigor Beta in the Xbox Insider Hub after participating in the playtest.

Microsoft Rewards Beta now available to all Xbox Insiders

The Microsoft Rewards Beta is now available to all Xbox Insiders and in the following additional countries!

Australia

France

Germany

Ireland

New Zealand

Singapore

United Kingdom

To download the Microsoft Rewards app, open your Xbox Insider Hub and join the beta through the “Insider Content” page.

In the app you’ll be able to join Microsoft Rewards (if you’re not already a member,) see exclusive offers just for Xbox fans, redeem your points for Microsoft Store gift cards, and check how many points you’ve earned from Microsoft purchases and searches with Bing.

The app is available to Xbox Insiders in the following countries during this beta but will launch to all countries where Microsoft Rewards is supported:

Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, United Kingdom, United States

If you’ve been a part of the Xbox Live Rewards program, you may have heard that your account is migrating to Microsoft Rewards in June and July. Joining this beta and creating an account won’t impact that migration or your Xbox Live Rewards account. Your points and status will be added to your Microsoft Rewards account when the migration is complete if you use the same Microsoft Account for both programs. More info can be found in the migration FAQ.

We’re excited to hear what you think about the app, the offers, and Microsoft Rewards! We’ll have lots of new ways to earn and spend your points after the app is available to everyone in the coming months.
