Windows 10: Twitter access issues

For the past 5 days, I've been unable to successfully log into my Twitter account. They ask you to authenticate your account to access it. When you successfully do this it...takes you right back to the beginning of the process to do it, again, in a vicious cycle. Eventually, you get this error:Twitter seems to not have any idea what's going on with this, so I was curious if this is perhaps something involved with a Windows update that took place in or around August 29th. Anyone else having this same issue with this particular site?

Twitter Notifications

No worries, Russ. To get Twitter notifications on your device, we recommend that you follow these steps:

• Uninstall your Twitter application.
• Open your Twitter from a computer and go to your settings.
• Choose apps and remove access from Twitter for your Windows Phone.
• Reinstall Twitter on your phone and grant it permission to connect to your account.

You should receive Twitter notifications after a day or two.

Windows 7.5 Twitter issue

The other thing to know of, AL90, is that Twitter contacts are filtered to be hidden by default. If you follow the steps in

this article, can you make sure Twitter is selected to show in contacts? From Start, go to App list, tap Settings, flick to Applications, and tap People. Tap Filter my contact list and make sure Twitter is "checked". Let us know...

 

Unable to delete twitter account

I have the same issue and I tried your suggestion but it doens't work.

* I removed Windows Live and Windows Phone from my app-list in Twitter (revoked access).

* I removed Twitter from my Windows Phone 7.5, but after the auto-sync with my Live account my Twitter appears again.

* Tried the same through a WiFi connection and 3G-connection.

I cannot find anymore solutions.

If you ask me, a serious privacy violation, considering the fact that I revoked access to all Microsoft services in my Twitter account.
