Windows 10: Twitter notification coming through Your Phone app not showing in Windows notification center

So I have a Samsung Galaxy and I use Your Phone on Windows.My notifications from twitter app on my Samsung used to be shown in action center on Windows.Once I decided to pause them and unticked Twitter from 'Get notifications from these senders' in Windows settings.When I wanted them back and ticked notifications ON again, it has not been showing in Windows notification centerIt does still show in Your Phone applicationWhat I did already please read carefully to not give a generic answer:- uninstall and reinstall twitter on my phone- reset Your Phone App in Windows- made sure background app

Twitter Notifications

No worries, Russ. To get Twitter notifications on your device, we recommend that you follow these steps:

• Uninstall your Twitter application.
• Open your Twitter from a computer and go to your settings.
• Choose apps and remove access from Twitter for your Windows Phone.
• Reinstall Twitter on your phone and grant it permission to connect to your account.

You should receive Twitter notifications after a day or two.

Notifications no longer working for Twitter apps for both PC and Mobile

• Which Windows version does your Lumia 950 have?

Current version is 1607 build 14965.1001. Fast Ring of the insider build, and none of my other apps have been having issues with notifications.

• When you said notification for Twitter in PC, are you referring to the notification on the PC itself or just the notification of the application?

Basically here's what's been happening. In the case of Tweet It and Fenice (the third party twitter apps) they just don't show any notification at all for any reason in my notification center, no toast ever pops up, nothing. With the official Twitter App,
I'll get notifications when people will "like" a tweet and sometimes if they send a DM, however when it comes to mentions, I'll get almost no notification at all. Very rarely when I do get one though, its seemingly random on who I get it from.

• Same goes with your Lumia phone, are you referring to the notification that would show up in your phone or in the app itself?

This behavior is mirrored on both my PC and my Phone, which is weird. All of it is made even weirder by the fact that when I linked Twitter up on the Android version of the app, every notification was coming in fine and dandy. And of course, I can't even get
help from Twitter since they don't even have support to contact beyond "tell us a problem and we might get around to fixing it in a future version".

 

Windows Notification Center not showing Email Notifications


If you don't see 'Mail' listed in Background Apps, one thing you could try is resetting the Mail app in order to make it become visible in the Background Apps section. Obviously, I haven't found out yet whether or not this fixes the issue, but it could be possible that when the Mail app isn't running or suspended, it needs to be able to run background processes in order for new email notifications to be displayed.

To reset the Mail app, go to Windows Settings > System > Apps & Features > Mail and Calendar > Advanced Options > Reset. Then reboot PC.

Back-up any emails that are only stored locally in the mail app, I.E. Not stored on a mail server or in your Outlook 2010 pst file.

You may need to press the reset button twice if at first it comes up with an error in red writing saying that the app couldn't be reset.

This will remove everything, reset the Mail And Calendar apps back to default factory settings and will need to be setup again (including re-enabling Notifications in the Mail App Settings).






Mail will then be listed under Background Apps. However, I noticed that Calendar then disappears from the Background Apps section instead. I'm not entirely sure whether this is normal or whether I should be banging my head against the desk... *Confused
