Windows 10: Two apps fail to operate in my Windows 10 pro installation

So far neither will Microsoft Camera HD3000 or Samsung Magican Rapid Mode operate within my Windows 10 Pro installation. It seems that there is no compatible software or drivers yet available for these apps.

The camera displays an image on the screen but will not snap a photo or do a video.

Magician does list many of the normal functions but shows a red X along side OS thus not allowing rapid mode to be executed for a primary SSD.

Windows 10 Upgrade from Windows 8.1 - Error Code 0xC1900101 - 0x20017 - Failed in the SAFE_OS Phase

Have installed Win 10 on two laptops running Win 8.1 Pro with no problems. When trying to install on my desktop I keep getting "The installation failed in the Safe_OS phase with an error during Boot operation" I have gone back and did a clean install
of Win 8 Pro then a clean upgrade to Win 8.1 Pro. No problems. Windows 10 however will not install. Anyone have answers?

 

Upgrading from Windows 7 pro to 10 pro

Yes, I missed the free upgrade. I did try, but it failed... multiple times. Then a family crisis came along, and yada yada yada. So my question is how do I do it now? Do I install windows 10 pro over my current windows 7 pro? And if so, will I end up with
two operating systems? Or will it simply upgrade what I have to windows 10 pro and be done with it? I can't imagine uninstalling windows 7 pro before I start, but is there a point when I do uninstall it? Thank you so much!

I am afraid that there are only 2 possible solutions:

- "roll back" to win7 / 8
- wait for the manufacturer of the software of your Camera to update it

With the Microsoft HD3000 I guess there must be a new version already.

I will keep Windows 10 and simply await both manufactures to upgrade their products with new drivers.
