Windows 10: Two installs, different results

Hi

I have two PC's with W10 Pro, fully updated.

When I click the Start button there is a most used section, on one PC there is a list showing the most recent targets, on the other just the program is shown.

Why the difference and how do I get the recent targets to show up?

In other words, why is this setting disabled despite the same power plan settings and the same operating system?

I suggest you post the screenshots in English language as it is of different languages and if possible reply with the error message in English language for further assistance.

If the problem is what I think it is, on the upper left corner, when you hit the start button, you will see 3 horizontal lines. Just click on the lines and see what happens.

 

Okay 2 is no extra showing 1 is extra showing

 

When I click on the lines it just covers up the Recently added and Most Used.

I can't tell you why they look different. I can tell you how to see the 'recent' list for each item on the 'most used' list.

Mine looks like your second screenshot (there's no '>' next to the app's name) but you can right-click on each app to show a 'recent items' list.

I now know why. Your first screenshot is the Start menu for version 1511, the second is how it appears in 1607.

Seems like a backward step to me, a lot like discontinuing WLM, almost everyone I know had WLM and has been forced to change to
Thunderbird.
