Windows 10: Two jacks use the same playback device profile

Hello,

Is there a way to split two jacks into two accounts/profiles, right now, i only have one 'playback device' in which uses two jacksboth audio, not mic

heres a picture to show what i mean, i want to split the "speakers" profile to have only one jack analog jack while another profile e.g. called Headphones to use the green Rear panel 3.5mm Jack

Playback devices

Before I received the Creators update, plugging my headphones into the front jack socket did not automatically switch the default playback device from speakers to headphones. I had to go to the playback device menu and do this manually. Since the update, plugging in the headphones works exactly as it should but, oddly, the headphones no longer appear as an option in the playback menu. Any suggestion why?
It has also been some considerable time since I was able to access the via hd console. Clicking on VIAAUD in Program Files has no effect whatsoever. Any views on this?

 

audio jack problems

Hi,

Windows allows disabling of a certain port if you want to or if you need to. To disable a headphone or speaker audio jack, kindly follow these steps:

• Right-click the Sound or Volume icon on the lower-left side of your screen.
• Select Playback devices.
• Right-click on the playback device that you want to disable and click
  Disable.

To disable a microphone jack:

• Right-click the Sound or Volume icon on the lower-left side of your screen.
• Select Recording devices.
• Right-click on the recording device that you want to disable and click
  Disable.

Also, we recommend taking your PC to a technician for the removal of the audio jack that is stuck so that, you'll be able to use the port again.

Playback devices not all showing/overlapping


I'm having trouble getting my computer to recognize all of the playback devices plugged into it. Ideally I'd like to be able to switch between them by simply clicking the sound icon and selecting from the playback devices listed in the dropdown menu. Unfortunately two of my devices seem to be shown under the same name, and will only play through the most recently plugged in of the two when that device is selected. Is there any way to switch between the two even though only one is being recognized at a time? I know that my computer is at least recognizing multiple devices, because the HDTV i have plugged in consistently shows as one. I'm only having trouble separating the two plugged into audio jacks.
