Windows 10: Two login options for the same user, how to disable this?

Hello,I use a pin to login to Windows 1123H2.For the last few months something has changed. When Windows restarts it shows me my user with an error, saying "The user name or password is incorrect. Try again.".I then click on the screen and at the bottom left I see two users, both the same, one is to login with PIN and the other with password which as far as I remember I nver set.How can I fix this?ThanksFirst screen after restart:And after I click "ok":

Local user disappeared frin login options after upgrade

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I was unable to fix the issue. Here are my steps:

• I've uninstalled the last 3 updates (the ones from september):
  
  • however, they keep getting reinstalled:
    

• I've added two new users: one from the GUI, the other as you suggested in step 2:
  
  • They are listed under users;
    
• I've also booted in safe mode just to check.
  

I still have no way to login other than with the main account. No local users are available at login or when I go to start menu and click on my user.

Please advise

 

Ways to bypass the login theme and signin do not work

Tried setting netplwiz in option 1 step 4 which shows no check in users must enter ..... no bypass of login

Tried step 4 in option 5 below to disable require sign-on on wakeup via policy via registry but still no change on wakeup still getting the screen picture that requires hitting Esc to move to the sign in window which shows a silhouette image, my user name and a sign in button in order to access my desktop screen. Guess I will have to live with the extra steps.

User accounts not visible in Windows login screen.

Hi,

I realize that you are unable to see the user accounts in the Windows login screen, let me assist you.

This issue might happen if the user account is disabled, I suggest you to follow the below steps to check if the user accounts are disabled and try enabling them.

• 
  Press Windows key + X key and click on
  Computer Management.
  
• 
  Click on Local Users and Groups in the left pane.
  
• 
  Double click on Users option and check if the accounts are visible.
  
  (The user accounts with a downward arrow symbol on it are disabled accounts.)
  
• 
  Double click on the account that you want to enable.
  
• 
  In the General tab, uncheck the option
  Account is disabled.
  
• 
  Click on Apply and then Ok.
  
• 
  Restart the system and check if the issue is resolved.
