Windows 10: Two partition on a sd card

I created a bootable sd card with rufus but i format it in ntfs format with rufus. but two partition created and i can't format second one it shows write protectedluckily it got formatted when i put it in mobile and formatted through it

Try with this

Method 1. Run Diskpart to Format SD Card That Won't Format

Step 1. Press Windows key and R key at the same time, type cmd in the Run box, hit Enter to open the command prompt(cmd.exe).

Step 2. Type diskpart to run Diskpart Utility.

Step 3. Type list disk to list the drives on the computer.

Step 4. Type select disk 1 (The number should be replaced by the exact drive number of your SD card).

Step 5. Type clean to run the clean utility (this will wipe all data on the SD card so make sure you saved a copy or backup of the card data).

Step 6. Type create partition primary to create a new partition on the SD card.

Step 7. Type select partition 1 (it should be the newly created partition on step 6).

Step 8. Type active to make the partition active.

Step 9. Type format fs=ntfs （or format fs=fat32）to format the partition to the desired file system.

I have HTC hd7 it doesn't work when the sd card is not partitioned, so I need help on how to partition my sd card.

 

Multi-Partition SD Cards inaccessible after anniversary update


I have few SD Cards that were formatted to carry 2 partitions ( one fat32 partition and another ext4 linux partition) , this is a common practice to use a common tool for android mobiles to move applications to sd cards for additional space ( named link2sd ) . the primary partition which is the fat32 was always accessible in windows . surprisingly after the update both partitions become inaccessible and the card reads un-formatted with no ability to format it even , funny enough they are still accessible when I boot using rescue disks , any suggestions on what to do ?!
