    Hi. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit with Service Pack 1 on acer laptopEvery time when I turn on my laptop and open the task manager and open the "Processes" tab I see two processes with the same name at the same time, those two processes called "dwm.exe" .the first dwm.exe process's description is "Desktop Window Manager", but the second dwm.exe process's description is "dwm" Screenshot When I opened the task managr: Please can you tell me which dwm.exe process is right?Thanks.

    months ago

    • Did you make any account setting changes to the main PC or on the other PCs?
    no, all my kids are standard users, I am the administrator, this has not changed.

    • Are you getting any error messages?
    no, it says it has applied the time, but of course hasn't

    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

      I have run all the troubleshooters.
    The usual suggestion I am given is to remove all my kids from my family and add them again. But I am a bit fedup of having to constantly keep doing this when family safety breaks, which it does a lot.

    • What is the current version and build number of the Windows 10 PCs?

    Are these processes normal?

    plugin-conatiner.exe is a part of firefox that I have always had......dunno what it does, clearly something with addons, but I could only guess as to the specific's. Win 7 same as OP's listed process name.
