Windows 10: Two Random Blue Screen & restarts. Please help.

I will just be working/using Windows 10 Anniversary Edition, then it crashes, and has that stop error or whatever.

I will note that it seems like it has a Visual C++ error of sorts when logging back into windows. I do not know if it has anything to do with it. Windows had crashed a few times, and more because of Chrome I assume. Also, I had recently updated Windows prior to these Blue Screen errors. I do not want to "Re-image" the disk again. I have possibly done an in-place upgrade possibly twice already. If there is any other solution, please let me know. i have had this system probably for less than a year.

HP support is telling me to just set my system so it won't automatically restart. It seems like they are just telling me to wait for the next blue screen so I can write down the error. I am pretty sure it was some kind of "Start-stop" error listed, but i didn't see a number. I am wondering if the event log might show me something, but I don't know where to look. Since I know the date was 6/13, I should be able to find the error, if it is logged.

I want to find out if I can find the log, in order to discover the problem without waiting for another blue screen.

Unexpected store exception and critical process died (random)

My windows 10 Aus pc is showing me two BSOD unexpected store exception and critical process dies. It is very frustrating and is random. There is no specific app that leads to the blue screen death. Please help me. I have tried opening some dump files but
I haven't been able to decipher them correctly.

For your HP computer please download and install the latest UEFI for hardware testing: HP PC Hardware Diagnostics | HP® Official Site

Open the bios UEFI by powering on and clicking the F10 or F2 key repetitively.
Run the UEFI tests in extensive or loop until failure.
The tests may run a long time so it is often best to start them before bed and view the results in the AM.
Report into the thread any problems detected using the HP UEFI diagnostics.

We can start debugging the bsod when we receive the minidump logs and other files.
The DM log collector will find the needed logs. You will post it as a zip file.

 

Do i need to disable automatic restart? where will it save the information? I have noticed that i cannot tell from the Event Viewer which error logs might have been the problem.

 

Disabling automatic restart is useful when using Windows driver verifier. You are not at that juncture. At this time we need to view the minidump and logs and perform debugging.

Were you able to run the HP UEFI diagnostics? If so what were the results?

 

not yet. i did however have another blue screen error, in which it had "page fault in non-paged area" after updating drivers...... so i may try to do that thing overnight now.....

 

I started running this like 12 hours ago. It passed all the tests and was almost finished with the hard drive test, but then started the memory and hard drive test over. Now it says 4 more hours for the hard drive. Is that normal?

 

Did you run UEFI extensive or loop until failure? The extensive will end when it completes the test and give estimated remaining time. The loop until failure will run indefinitely unless there is a failure or you press escape and turn it off.

Once the study is complete click on the logs to verify that it passed.

 

It is on loop. So it is on third scan. I guess I need to press escape. How do I find he logs?

 

Yes you have successfully ran the commands and found no hardware problems using the HP UEFI studies. View the log to confirm.

 

When you reboot please run the log collector so we can evaluate the bsods.

 

i ran it, and it seemed like it didn't let me change the directory, but only save to the same directory. how do i find that directory? what file extension/what do i need to look for?

 

What happens when you click on download and then run dm_logcollector.exe? What happens when you save it?
