Windows 10: Two related issues? Just received a HP update error and having an issue connecting printer...

On the computer I am running W11 Home v:23H2 on a Samsung, 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor, IntelR CoreTM i7-10510U CPU @ 1.80GHz 2.30 GHz. I also have a HP Office Jet 5258 printer.I have recently started having issues connecting my printer by Bluetooth. I can connect with the USB cord. HP Print and Scan Doctor does not fix the connection problem. It seems that the printer name/type is changed during the process, so the computer does not recognize the printer. I tried to delete the printer and add a new one. However, when I tried to reboot the system the fir

2. What is the make and model of the printer?
3. What’s the complete error message that he receives, when he is trying to print?
4. Is that a wired or wireless printer?
5. Do you see any error messages related to the issues you are facing?

HP Printer Driver Issue

I understand that you are unable to use the scanner of your HP Officejet 3830 printer. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

• What happens when you try to use the scanner?
  
• Do you receive any error message/code?
  
• When you say “they can't reinstall drivers because they say Windows 10 is blocking it” what is the error message you see when attempting to reinstall the driver?
  
• Which build version of Windows is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  

I would suggest you to try running HP Print and Scan Doctor on your
computer. This will diagnose the issues with Printing and Scanning.



Please reply with more information on the issue to assist you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps.

HP printer driver bug/issue

I had an HP printer a couple of years ago, and since changed brands, but when I follow these steps, no HP shows. I only see my current printer. So if it's not listed I guess I don't have drivers for it anymore?




Also what about people who are just simple users, and will have no idea what to do? I know a couple that just let Windows do everything for them. This seems like a nightmare if a fix isn't pushed automatically since there will be a lot of people affected, and not even know since they don't even follow tech news for things like this.
